Angels Among Us

Have you ever seen an angel? Felt like you were helped by a source of love from beyond the realm of human understanding? Humans across cultures, eras, and belief systems consistently report moments of intervention, protection, or overwhelming love that feel like they come from beyond the human realm.

There are two types of beings that are commonly classified as “angels”. There are angels and then there are spirit guides. Angels and spirit guides differ in origin, function, and the quality of the guidance they offer. Angels are divine, non human protectors, while spirit guides are evolved souls who have lived human lifetimes and now serve as teachers.

Angels are pure divine beings who have never incarnated are centered on protection and comfort, while Spirit guides are souls who have incarnated and are focused on teaching, mentoring, and helping humans evolve.

How to know? Is it an Angel or Spirit Guide? You don’t identify an angel or a spirit guide by how they look. You identify them by how your field behaves in their presence.

I have personally seen angels only twice in my life, but spirit guides have shown up on a regular basis. Angels have to lower their vibration significantly to be seen by humans. When they appear it’s because their presence is event level, not conversational. Angels don’t just “drop by”; when they show up a dramatic shift in vibration is occurring. They support threshold moments, intervene for a protection event, show up when a soul contract pivots or is amended as in the case of a Near Death Experience (NDE), and of course when crossing between worlds at the moment of death. They will show up to deliver a message or messages; however more commonly it is a spirit guide who serves as a messenger rather than an angel. Both are happy to answer to the title of angel.

Angels' frequency is so high, so non localized, that a human nervous system can’t perceive them unless they compress, slow, and translate their light into a form we can register. Think of it this way, angels are like an air gapped laptop. They are not networked into the human emotional field the way guides are. They are not entangled with human psychology. Just like an air gapped device is isolated from the internet, angels are isolated from human fear, karmic entanglement, and ego dynamics. They remain uncontaminated by the human field.

Angels are more than willing to support us in forms and communications such as feathers, warmth, orbs, colors/auras, repeating numbers etc. It’s the equivalent of sending a message without logging into the system.

When you experience a time shift, this happens as the result of an angel stepping into the human field. Angels exist outside linear time. When they fully enter the human field, the local time grid destabilizes and then pauses. Time slows, stops, or becomes completely irrelevant as if we are no longer subject to its laws.

Spirit guides on the other hand rarely impact time because they operate inside the human time band, not outside of it. Spirit Guides are my nearly constant companions. They’re coworkers, collaborators, and partners in my work and in life. They are not present to “change me”. They are like a best friend who is way smarter without being controlling. My free will is always intact. They’re the friend who sits in the passenger seat and helps with navigation.

Spirit Guides are souls who have walked the Earth in physical form. They are often our oldest and dearest friends before we incarnated who also facilitate meetups with the greatest minds who have ever lived. They can function as energetic matchmakers with historical figures, philosophers, healers, scientists, mystics, teachers, ancestors, and ascended masters. Not because those beings “drop in randomly,” but because our guides open the door to the frequency band where those minds reside.

Spirit guides function like etheric wedding planners. They have access to the blueprint we crafted before incarnating. A wedding planners' job is to know the entire plan, coordinates timing, manages who meets whom, handles unexpected changes, keeps the event aligned with the original vision, and supports the couple without overriding their choices.

Once we enter the body, we forget the blueprint, because remembering would collapse the learning process, but our guides remember. They hold the map while we walk the terrain.

Both Angels and Spirit Guides can inhabit or influence a third party to deliver a message or provide guidance or assistance.

Here are two examples:

Angel Encounter: Early in my journey as a healer, I hosted a gentleman for a Reiki session. He spent the aftermath berating me and my technique, and I declined to charge him for the session because it didn’t live up to his expectations. More than anything I just wanted him to leave my space so I could cry. He stood at the front door in the evening light and suddenly, what appeared to be a light came from the heavens and entered his body. This same distasteful man’s face and energy changed as his delivered a message filled with love and the promise for the future. The light departed, and he shook his head, looked at me as if he had just seen a ghost and hurried off into the night. That was an Angel message delivered through a third party. The Angel didn’t “possess” the man, he was simply the instrument for the message. The man had no remembrance of what happened, time shifted.

Spirit Helper Encounter: My closest friends gathered in Sedona for a milestone birthday, and in the morning as we prepared to leave the new vehicle we came in would not start. Seeing as we were a bunch of woo-woo healers, we stood around under the open hood sending energy to the engine. Along comes a hippie looking older gentleman carrying a screwdriver. He stops, looks at the engine, says it’s the starter solenoid. Bridged the gap with the screwdriver and it started right up. He gifted us with the knowledge of how to perform the procedure and if we needed to stop on the way back to Phoenix, he also gifted us with the screwdriver in his hand. We offered to pay him, he declined, and he went on his way. The interesting part is that once he cleared the back of the vehicle, he was gone, disappeared. We even looked under the car for him.

Spirit helpers often influence a human third party to help us with our growth and learning. Sometimes we inhabit the space of spirit helper.

They fall into 5 categories:

1. The Mechanic (The Practical Helper) The one who solves the immediate problem with elegant simplicity.

2. The Guide (The Direction Giver) The one who appears when you’re lost, uncertain, or at a crossroads.

3. The Witness (The Validator) The one who sees you clearly at a moment when you doubt yourself.

4. The Challenger (The Catalyst) The one who disrupts, confronts, or tests you at the threshold.

5. The Messenger (The One Who Brings the Meaning) The one who delivers the insight, the phrase, the truth, or the symbolic “key” that unlocks the moment.

Learning and growth are the goal of the human experience and sometimes its beautiful and inspiring and other times its gravel and grit. We can’t grow on inspiration alone, it’s too soft. You can’t grow on grit alone, it’s too harsh. Growth is not a straight line, it’s a landscape. We need the mountains and the valleys to know that we are never alone, even when it feels that way. We are guided by energies, forces beyond our comprehension, be they ancestors, angels, guides, Soul Family, intuition, source energies and witnessed in ways that validate our existence. Because in the Light, We are All Love.
